Hike up to the Nankoweap granaries in Grand Canyon national park, Arizona.
There are three popular camps at the mouth of the Nankoweap delta. The hike up to some native American ruins is one reason for the popularity of these camps. To get to the ruins, take the well worn trail at the back of any of the camps towards the wall at the South West of the camps. You can see the ruins from the base of the trail to help you navigate to them. This trail gets a lot of use, so it is well maintained. The trail is not very long (0.6 miles) but steeply gains about 600 ft to the ruins. As always, do not touch anything. This site is well preserved and once you reach it, you are treated to a fantastic view up and down the river.
