Hike up Mile 220 canyon in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona.
The beach at mile 220 is one of the last camps before reaching Diamond Point, where most river trips complete their expedition. One major benefit to making the beach at mile 220 your last camp is easy access to a nice hike up a canyon to some interesting conglomerate rock formations. Mile 220 canyon also features some pleasant and secluded narrows to hike through as well. Once the canyon opens up it’s time to turn around. Since its likely your last camping day in the river, be sure to enjoy this final, peaceful hike before heading back to civilization.
