An easy loop hike using the Bulls Eye trail in Round Mountain park in Globe, Arizona.

If you're in the Globe area and looking for a nice, easy hike to stretch your legs, the Round Mountain Park is a good choice.

From the visitor center, take the easy to follow trail left onto the signed West Round Mountain trail. This trail gently gains elevation as you head North into the Round Mountain park. After 0.4 miles of hiking, you'll reach the Lion's Club Ramada (JCT 1 on the map). Turn left here and take the short (0.4 mile) loop hike on the Bull's Eye rock loop trail. This trail drops down to some interesting rock formations worth checking out. When you get back to the Lion's Club Ramada, head East and continue on the signed West Round Mountain trail for 0.35 miles to the Rotary Club Ramada (JCT 2 on the map). Before you reach the Rotary Club Ramada, there are some really neat old mine entrances on your left. Most of them are fenced off or have the entrances barred to prevent the unprepared from exploring. Once you reach the Rotary Club Ramada, take the short stroll up to the summit of Round Mountain and enjoy the views of Globe, the mine, and the Pinal mountains to the South. When you're done enjoying the view, backtrack to the signed trail junction with the East Round Mountain trail.

From here, the trail heads South and gradually decreases in elevation all the way back to the visitor center. Stay right at the signed junctions with the Boulder Canyon trails (JCT 3R and JCT 4R on the map) and after just under a mile, you'll end up back at the visitor center.
